Recently, I went on a short trip to Hong Kong. I was just there for a couple of days, but I did find a few random pictures to share.
Like Taiwan, Hong Kong is supposed to be more modern and developed than mainland China. Yet if you seek it out, there are misspellings to discover…
And an important sticker

I thought that was Chinglish before. Apparently that’s the real word, but as a Meiguoren I always found the word funny!
That just sort of reminded me of something that I saw in South Africa… we have a Religious book store here known as ‘Cum books’. http://martinevans.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/20111109-151238.jpg
Whoever I know from abroad who speaks English and has come to SA ends up taking a picture outside that store… 😛 it’s not really Chinglish per say, but I just had to share it.
Those ones you found are beyond awesome though!
Oh, that’s not how you spell dessevt? 😉
Seems like the person (visually) identified the “r” as a “v.”
spelling out chinese seems to be hard
I wonder why they would mistake r for v, maybe they had the sentence handwritten by someone whose r looks like a v? I have seen that sometimes…
